“I just wanted to thank you for providing another year of wonderful training. Bella loves NMTA, it’s by far and away her favourite associates. She’s learned so much technically from you and your team, and she gets so much confidence from her experience too. Notts is super value for money, so thank you for making something of such high quality so accessible in these tough times. Bella’s so excited to be part of the next step in the NMTA story.”
ABOUT NOTTINGHAM MUSICAL THEATRE ASSOCIATES
Nottingham Musical Theatre Associates is an exciting programme held in Nottingham at FABRIC (the programme is independently run by Graeme Pickering and not affiliated with FABRIC).
The programme has been designed and is led by Graeme Pickering who is passionate about working with students who wish to gain additional Musical Theatre training at a high level.
The programme consists of 10 sessions (once a month on the last Sunday of each month). Within each session, students will intensively train in key disciplines which are at the heart of Musical Theatre. They will benefit from a Jazz Dance Technique class, an ensemble singing class with a highly experienced Musical Director, including harmony work and singing techniques with piano accompaniment, and a fully integrated Song and Dance workshop, combining the skills required to become a true triple threat.
The programme is split into ability groups. The programme accepts applications from students from 8 - 18 years.
As well as elite training in Musical Theatre, the programme is designed to build student’s confidence and enable them to step outside their comfort zones. The programme offers advice to students and parents wishing to continue on to vocational training should they require it and audition techniques will be taught to allow the students to gain the skills they need to gain places at top conservatoires, colleges and universities across the UK and overseas.
Graeme wants to share his knowledge with the students and develop their skills and techniques within Musical Theatre. The programme is an addition to the fantastic training provided at their local dance/stage schools and is designed to enhance their learning.
